Where I’m Coming From

I’m a warm, attuned therapist who believes therapy isn’t a magic wand—it’s a meaningful space to bear witness and be witnessed. I take a collaborative approach and draw from evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring our work to your needs, goals, and pace.

Language matters deeply to me. The words we use—both out loud and in our self-talk—shape how we experience ourselves and the world. Together, we pay attention to those patterns and gently shift them when they no longer serve you. I also find expressive arts to be powerful tools for healing, and for clients who are interested, I incorporate writing and drawing exercises to help process difficult experiences and release limiting beliefs.

I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of New England and have specialized experience in oncology counseling and grief work. In oncology counseling, I support individuals navigating diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, recurrence, and the emotional complexities that accompany medical uncertainty. As a bereavement counselor, I’ve worked alongside individuals and families coping with loss, anticipatory grief, and the adjustment to life after profound change.

I identify as a cisgender woman in a larger body and work with clients who want to cultivate more peaceful, respectful relationships with their bodies and with food. I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES)–aligned perspective and support clients in unpacking the impact of diet culture, weight stigma, and internalized body narratives with curiosity, compassion, and autonomy.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me at the beach, reading, walking local trails with my dog, or being a little too competitive over card games with friends.

Thanks for reading — I’m glad you’re here.
